How to Add Colour to Your Home
While there were many years when neutrals reigned supreme in home renovations, people are starting to feel a bit more bold. Whether it’s in the form of a deeper wall colour, a brightly hued front door, kitchen tile, colour drenching, or kitchen cabinets, there are plenty of ways to add more colour to your home. And it needn’t be a scary thought. Layering a few colourful elements into an otherwise neutral space will give it an added lift. Let’s look at a few ways that you can add colour to your home renovation project.
Paint Woodwork in a Contrasting Colour

This can be done in a more neutral shade or you can go for it and select a colour. This is particularly fun in a bathroom, hallway, or guest room. Spaces that you pass through many times but don’t spend much time. It’s a great way to add depth and interest to a space.
Go for a Colourful Tile

Whether you’re selecting tile for a bathroom or kitchen renovation, there are so many options that can add some personality to your space. Don’t be afraid to inject some pattern and colour. If you’re feeling nervous about going bold in the kitchen, a bathroom is a great place to add pattern and colour. A guest bath or powder room is the perfect spot to add a bit of a jewel box effect.
Create a Welcoming Entrance

Giving your front door (or entire house!) a fresh coat of paint makes a huge difference for your home’s curb appeal, and it’s a joy to return home to each day. Paint your front door in a colour you love, add some potted flowers or plants to flank the entrance, and maybe even a new outdoor light. Your future self (and neighbours) will thank you.
